Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone from Austin, Texas. I thought I should post this now in case I forget later.

This New Englander is having a hard time getting his head around the idea that it’s Christmas Eve. It’s about 70-some-odd degrees outside and sunny and it’s like no Christmas I’ve ever experienced.

Tonight we’ll be heading to Melanie’s home parish. St. Louis, for a choir concert of carols and hymns and, of course, midnight Mass. It’s going to be a long day…

On the other hand, since I’ve been here, I’ve had several excellent meals: Mexican, Salvadoran, and barbecue. Mmmm. Good food in Texas. smile

If I don’t post later, consider this my Christmas greeting to you all. God bless.

  • Howdy again, Dom!  St. Louis is my parish, too—what a small world.

Suggestion:  Get there by at least 11 pm (maybe even a little earlier) for the midnight Mass if you want to get a seat, otherwise you will be uncomfortably standing for the next two hours along the sides of the pews, as I did a few years back!

My mom and I are going to St. Louis tomorrow morning for early Mass.

  • If you think this year’s Christmas celebration is hectic, just wait till next year’s!

    LOL

Merry Christmas Dom, Melanie (and little Meldom)!
