  • Anyone catch that new children’s book written by the famous Senator Ted – the main character was his dog “Splash” – honestly !!

  • How about the utter arrogance of the media elite in their furor over the fact they were not immediately called to cover the story? What’s -his-name Gregory of NBC apparently nearly exploded like a hand grenade over not being given his royal due as a White House reporter. To hell with first privately notifying the victim’s scattered family. Let them hear it after the REALLY important poobahs of America have been briefed and broadcast it.

  • Why is a hunting accident news at all unless you&88217;re desperately looking for dirt on a man? No law was violated. It’s not clear that the VP is at fault. There is no conceivable motivation for a Republican VP to deliberately harm a major donor. This is a purely private matter.

  • When I was 21 I went to my local police station in Canton, Mass. to apply for a Firearms ID card as is my constitutional right. The police chief asked me if he knew my father. I told him no. He said that he had no legal right to do so, but that he was refusing me the card.

    I live in Massachusetts. I don’t hunt.

As for the rifle/shotgun question, I know the difference. I wasn’t sure what Cheney was hunting and made a generic reference. Not that I know they were quail hunting, I know that he’d be using a shotgun. I even know that he was using birdshot, not buckshot, which is what everyone assumes comes out of the barrel of every shotgun.

I know the difference between a 12 gauge and a 24 gauge. I know what an over/under is and I know the difference between a lever action and a pump action.

If I do end up living in Texas someday, you can be darn sure I will be exercising my Second Amendment rights. In Massachusetts, I’m lucky they let me write the word “rifle” on my blog.
