Supreme Court Justice Ruth Buzzy Ginsburg once attended a Catholic Red Mass (an annual Mass for lawyers) and found it to be “outrageously anti-abortion.” Ginsburg is Jewish, which is great. My grandfather was Jewish and I love him for it. I love my elder brothers and sisters in faith.
But this is something different. What did Ginsburg expect she would encounter at a Mass? Every Mass should be “outrageously anti-abortion”, not that abortion should come up at every Mass, but that associating the pro-life message with the Catholic faith should be expected, just like we expect to hear the name of Jesus at Mass. We would mock anyone who went to a Catholic Mass and found it to be “outrageously pro-Jesus.” What a silly thing to say. So sad, it’s not so obvious with life issues.

Hey, Ruthie, Now you know how offended we feel every time you open your trap! Outrageous, indeed.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh . . . got a tear in my eye.
There. All better now.
I am surprised that Ginsburg would find any thing objectionable at a Novus Ordo Mass.
Maybe it was an a-typical one.
Hats off to those “Conservatives” like Hatch who voted her out of committee.
How many Republican votes did she receive? A majority! What a disgrace!
