This a face palm moment. Katie Couric was on with Stephen Colbert the other night and they were gushing over her meeting Pope Francis. She was at the Vatican for a scientific conference and said this about it: "I was at a scientific conference at the Vatican a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was actually very Progressive of the Catholic church to want to understand science...."
Oh, that backward Catholic Church. Aren't they still burning heretics for saying the Earth orbits the Sun? Oh, you say Pope Francis ended that?
