The Arizona Republic has more details on Bishop O’Brien’s alleged fatal hit-and-run. It looks worse and worse for the bishop. He admits he never hit his brakes but kept driving until he got home.
Did you hit the brakes at all after this happened?” a detective asked O’Brien.
“I don’t think so,” O’Brien said.
“Just kept going?” the detective asked.
O’Brien answered affirmatively, saying he was “close to home” and looked at the car when he got there but, because he hadn’t seen anything on the road, “I didn’t know what to make of it.”
