The USCCB reported yesterday that the revised National Directory for Catechesis and the revised National Directory for Formation, Ministry, and Life of Permanent Deacons in the United States were approved. For the former, all but six voted for it. For the latter, all but five (three abstentions included). I’d be curious to see who the opposers were. Would say a lot about the quality of the documents.
The documents now go on to the Vatican for approval.
Only if you put more stock in the bureaucracy that writes the documents than in the bishops who vote on them.
