  • What would John Paul II tell us to do now, but to rejoice that he is home with his Heavenly Father?  Yes, I feel his loss, painfully, as an extraordinary man has left us.  For many, he is the only Pope whom they have ever known and he left his mark upon the last three decades as no one else.
But John Paul II was a man of great hope and faith and now is available to us all through his nearness to Our Lord and Our Lady.
He came from the same area of Poland as my late mother who was blessed to be able to see his papacy.  Now these perhaps distant cousins are together.
Rest in Peace, Holy Father.  We shall miss you but heed your words.

  • “Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.”

  • My sster said last night that when he dies he will be jigging with mother Teresa and God.
As we prayed the Hail Mary after hearing of his death I imagined Mary clutching him to her breast who dedicated himself to her with the words” Totus Tuus.”
Now we have a great advocate in heaen inerceding for us face to face with the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. There is one more saint in heaven, I am sure the angels are rejoicing.
May he dance in the perpetual light of the Lord.
