I could tolerate that drivel if I thought they were addressing the Holy Spirit . I also want to know who writes those intercessory prayers – they are often truly creepy. Do you know if each parish is allowed to write their own? I assume they are “canned” from somewhere else.
I could honestly say that if our Priest said this as a prayer during Mass, I would get up and walk out. But, that’s just me.
