Kerry’s catechism

Kerry’s catechism

John Kerry said in his nomination speech last week that he wouldn’t wear his faith on his sleeve, apparently a reference to George W. Bush’s public faith. Maybe Kerry should spend some of that private time brushing up on what his faith really teaches. George Will finds Kerry a little lacking in biblical knowledge, or at least biblical logic.

Mr. Kerry, in your convention speech you threw caution to the wind and endorsed what you called “one of the oldest Commandments: ‘Honor thy father and thy mother.’” Oldest? Were they not all published together?

  • I wonder how many more religious advisers Bill Donahue will bump off before kerry’s campaign just give it up…..a unitarian might do a better job.

  • I wish I could be convinced that Kerry wore it on his sleeve or in his heart at all, but I’m not yet. After all it was John Kerry who said a couple of weeks ago that he believes life begins at conception but last year told a Planned Parenthood convention that he thinks abortion should be protected at all costs. So which of those two contradictory statements live in his heart?
