A Los Angeles canon lawyer and judge in the archdiocesan tribunal has sued John Kerry as a heretic. The technical term is “denunciation.” I wonder what Cardinal Mahony’s going to think of this one. This poor guy is probably going to lose his job.
You can read the whole formal complaint at De Fide, which itself is interesting as it is a group founded to use canon law to defend the Church against heresy. They’re going to be very busy. They also have a link to join the class-action lawsuit. 
Now, I have no problem with this because it is a logical extension of the current debate. John Kerry is the most public lay Catholic in American right now and his rejection of Church teaching in so many areas is a public scandal and endangers his own soul as well as potentially leading others away.
