All of the news outlets have reported their exit polls, trying to tell us that the results indicate something about the American electorate. The problem with that is the people they’re polling are all Democrats. There are no Republicans voting today (or very few, disguised as independents), so of course their concerns and estimations of the state of America are going to be critical of Bush. I’d be surprised if they showed anything else. Typical of the media.
Oh they voted, but in such miniscule percentages as to be statistically insignificant.
I know technically there was a Republican primary, but very few people went to vote because the outcome is known. Bush is going to be the nominee so most Republicans didn’t bother going to the polls. So when the media did exit polls, the response of Republicans was statistically insignificant and generally reflected those who went to vote for the fringe candidates anyway.
