Got my hand out

Got my hand out

You thought I forgot about begging today, didn’t you? No way. I’m getting good at this! Well, maybe not good enough, but I do thank those of you who have been so generous. In any case, it’s day four of the “brother, can you spare a dime” pledge drive. Don’t worry, I won’t do this every day from now on. Really, I’m going to end soon ... once I’m sure I’ve wrung every penny from my audience. Or Monday. Whichever comes first.

I sure wish I had some kind of gift to give to pledgers, like a tote bag or book or t-shirt. That can be arranged, of course, for next time. So what would you like? Should I get an official Bettnet t-shirt designed and then offer that to those who donate at a certain level? How about a “Best of Bettnet” book? (That might be a real nightmare to put together, but interesting, too.) Autographed photos? (You could hang in the garden to scare away birds.) Coffee mugs? Ooh, I might want one of those. All suggestions are welcome.

In the meantime, you can continue to show evidence of your altruism by giving without expectation of something in return (and to show your thanks to me for wading through all the news every day and give you my opinion, right) by clicking here to donate using check or credit card. You don’t need a PayPal account to use it.

If you prefer the old-fashioned method, my snail mail address is 224-1/2 Canal Street, Salem, MA 01970. No stalkers, please.

  • Dom,
I’d go with bettnet.com pencils. They’re inexpensive (by the thousands) and you can send bundles of them to each chancery that we ‘pastorally and charitably’ critique here. Or, bettnet.com erasers. Those would be scooped up by ordinaries, chancery rats, canonist’s and liturgists that bastardize and modify Rome’s directives and suggestions…
