First manned private spaceflight

First manned private spaceflight

This is very exciting. The first manned private spaceflight took place over California on Monday. I hope that someday my grandchildren will be taking private flights into space as well. What an adventure.

I’m also impressed with the first private astronaut, Mike Melvill. At 62 years old, he’s showing that this isn’t just a young man’s game. Yay for America’s senior citizens!

  • You’re right.  It’s very exciting.

The only thing that worries me is that Paul Allen (CEO of Charter Cable and co-founder of Microsoft) can have his own space ship.  Should we be afraid that satellite tv signals might suddenly disappear?
