Rod Dreher in NRO analyzes why Bobby Jindal lost the Louisiana governor’s race. Jindal was the thirtysomething wunderkind, the great Indian hope for the Republicans in the South. He is smart and affable—and by the way the son of Indian immigrants and a Catholic. It is disappointing he lost, but perhaps his future lies in federal elected service. If not Gov. Jindal, then maybe Rep. Jindal or Sen. Jindal. I have to say, I don’t know for sure, but I’m pretty sure Jindal is pro-life. Anyone care to enlighten me?
