When they say it’s not about the money…

Some alleged victims will not share in the proposed settlement in Boston because they haven’t filed lawsuits. The survivor groups complained that the proposed $55 million settlement won’t affect most victims. Okay, so what do they want? They never say in the article.

Paul Baier of Survivors First continues to spread his completely fabricated claim that there 3,000 to 4,000 victims in Boston. Survivors First believes that there is a massive “underreporting” of abuse, especially among female victims and recent victims. You see, they refuse to believe that most abuse is by gay men against teenage boys because that leads to unsettling answers. They also refuse to believe that there is less abuse now than there was 20 years ago or more. So, because they wish it were so, they have convinced themselves that there must be 3,000 to 4,000 victims. I think even the attorney general’s estimate of 1,000 victims might be high, but that’s just a hunch.
