Voice of the Faithful voted to call for Cardinal Law to resign. What a surprise.
I wonder how they so quickly polled all “25,000” (sic) of their members. Oh wait, it was only the “leadership” who voted—75 people all told. Hmmm. And the vote was 71-2 with two abstentions (profiles in courage there; way to make a stand). What happened to the vaunted consensus approach for the group? Of course, as we’ve been hearing, consesus for VOTF only applies when everybody agrees with the pre-determined outcome. I’ve heard several reports of people holding a vote on whether to form a VOTF chapter in a parish, and when the vote is against it, the activists go ahead and form it anyway. Voice of the Faithful indeed.
