Why is it when the hotel where journalists are staying in Baghdad is hit that the media gets all excited and indignant, but we only get mild concern when other places are hit? I don’t think they should expect to be targeted, but they are living in a war zone. Of course, they’ve also known all along that the regime will use them as a shield for attacking Coalition troops.
On the other hand, there have been a lot of journalists hurt in this war. At least 8 have been killed and a lot more injured. That’s a high percentage of all foreign journalists in Iraq compared to the percentage of Coalition troops killed.
