Today’s “Wizard of Id” comic strip (I couldn’t find it online) has one character say to another, “When will global warming end?” The other character replies, “It depends on who wins the next election.” And if a Democrat wins the presidency (God forbid), homelessness, unemployment, and the bad economy will also magically disappear. Just look at the Clinton presidency. For eight years, homeless people ceased to exist in the US and then—poof—reappeared just in time for George W. Bush to get elected.
