British columnist Will Self shows himself to be a reflexively anti-American bigot. He makes the rescue of PFC Lynch a propaganda exercise, makes a moral equivalence between our soldiers and the Fedayeen, and belittles Lynch’s reasons for joining the Army. He says that the rescue of Lynch was designed to distract us from the fact that we haven’t found weapons of mass destruction (oops, today we have) and the Iraqi people are starving (oops, the food is moving in in mass quantities). What a moron.
