The hypocrisy of the Catholic Worker Movement

The Catholic anti-war/pacifist movement has been led by members of the Catholic Worker’s Movement, founded by Dorothy Day. There has been a push in recent years to promote the cause for canonization of Day, but based on quotes by her found by Mark Sullivan, I doubt it will happen.

She was very sympathetic to Castro’s revolution and communism, and said that, for Castro, it was better to fight for revolution than do nothing. So contrary to what her followers say now, Dorothy Day obviously felt that war was justified, but apparently only to impose totalitarian regimes rather than overthrow them.
