... that they don’t recognize people making fun of them when they’re right in front of them. Rush Limbaugh has some photos on his site sent to him by a listener. These two guys brought signs to their local “wacko” march that said stuff like “Except for Ending Slavery, Fascism, Nazism and Communism, War Has Never Solved Anything,” and “Communism has Only Killed 100 Million People. Let’s Give it Another Chance.” Another sign had a picture of a woman in a burqa tied to a post and slogan that said, “Protect Islamic Property Rights Against Western Imperialism! Say No to War!” Yet another said, “Saddam only kills his own people. It’s none of our business.”
The funniest part was that the collection of leftists, socialists, and commies didn’t understand that the signs were satire. In fact, they received agreement from some people.
Right Thinking from the Left Coast blog also has pictures of a local march, but these signs are real even though they’re just as inane as the parodies. If this is the best that that the anti-war crowd can come up with, then we can conclude that their position is intellectually bankrupt.
