We got our garden started (or at least in the ground) today, a beautiful sunny, if windy, May day. Melanie planted the tomatoes and peppers we’d grown from seed as well as some additional tomato plants and a rosemary bush we purchased at the farmers market. We’d already planted some green bean vines a week or so ago. The third box has watermelon, pumpkin, zucchini, and cucumber.
I’d been hoping to put in three more boxes, but that didn’t happen. Maybe I’ll run to Home Depot tomorrow afternoon and do it then.
On the side of the house, under our bedroom window, I dug up a new bed where Melanie planted some sunflowers and nasturtium.
