A second Boston priest has been exonerated following allegations Fr. Ed McDonagh was suspended from his parish last May after a single accusation based on what a guy who died several years ago told his sister. I can understand being thorough, but 9 months to investigate one allegation—when no one else has come forward—seems like a long time. I’m just glad for him, his family, and his parish that it’s resolved.
That’s two down and 25 more accused priests in limbo to go.
