Red Sox game

I went to the Red Sox game with my friend Paul and his two sisters, Beth and Judy, and we sat in Judy’s season ticket seats. They were awesome seats, behind home plate, under the screen, just to third base side, about 10 rows back.

Pedro Martinez pitched for the first time after being on the disabled list for two weeks and had a great three innings against the St. Louis Cardinals. (They kept it short for him first time out.) It made it easier for him to leave when his teammates hit seven runs in the bottom of the second and then two more in the bottom of the third. In the end, they would win it 13-1. What made it even sweeter was that on the same night, the Yankees went down for a no-hitter against the Houston Astros, the first time they’ve been no-hit in over 40 years. That’s a team on the skids.

One of the three rotating images at the top of this page is of Pedro pitching last night and I’ve put a larger version below. If you look closely, you can see the ball passing over home plate. More pictures are available below and if you click here.
