According to some media reports, three Lefebrvist bishops are about to return to the Church.. I don’t have too many details yet, but Cardinal Catrillon Hoyos is apparently going to celebrate the Tridentine-rite Mass with them at St Mary Major in Rome on May 24.
Update: We have more details on the alleged reconciliation at the above link. We’ve been here before with the SSPX and it’s all fallen apart several times so I’ll reserve my joy until it actually happens. It is significant that Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos will celebrate the Tridentine Mass, becoming the first prelate to do so in Rome since 1970.
