Pulitzer for Globe

The Boston Globe has won a Pulitzer Prize for its coverage of the Scandal. The committee called it “courageous comprehensive coverage.” I’m not sure what was so courageous about it. It’s not like there was a huge backlash against the Globe for it.

And let’s not forget the comment by one of the Globe‘s editors last year when asked why there was a constant drumbeat for Cardinal Law’s resignation, right from the beginning. He said, “Because we won’t get a Pulitzer, if he doesn’t.” Congratulations.

Remember, the media has done a service to the Church by exposing the Scandal, but they didn’t do it because they love the Church. On the contrary, they did it because the Church is an obstacle to their secular, modernist, liberal aims.
