A Jesuit priest writes in Commonweal magazine about a woman who is a pastor in a priestless church. Amy Welborn who provides the original link offers from interesting thoughts as do the commentors. I have a thought, as well. Why is it that whenever we hear of parishes with lay pastors (or more accurately, pastoral administrators), they are always women. Why not deacons? Why not lay men? Obviously, because it does not advance the agenda of the women’s ordination crowd to do so.
