Six Texas Protestant leaders back Bishop Charles Grahmann in his dispute with prominent lay Catholics who say the bishop has reneged on a deal made six years ago that he would resign as a way of helping the diocese move beyond continuing sex abuse scandals. I notice one name is missing from that list: Bishop Joseph Galante, Grahmann’s coadjutor.
