The Irish Diocese of Ferns has issued new rules for conduct for priests. From what I’ve seen there’s nothing too dramatic about it, although it’s not clear how this affects confessions. I suppose it means that “reconciliation rooms” are now verboten and that we should return to the old days of the confessional which puts a wall and a screen between confessor and penitent.
