Today is the day that the New Hampshire report is released. Nine thousand pages of documents related to clergy sexual abuse in the Diocese of Manchester are being released by the state attorney general.
We are being warned that the information in them could “graphic and disturbing.” I don’t doubt it. The attorney general says he could have gotten a grand jury indictment against the diocese and a criminal conviction. The diocese evidently didn’t disagree since they agreed to a settlement with the state. We’ll hold our noses, brace ourselves, and wait for the noxious flood.
