I have to head out to the story on this rainy morning to pick up ingredients for my special turkey gravy. Every year my friends in Salem get together around Thanksgiving for a turkey dinner. Everyone pitches in and I provide the gravy. It is an amazing gravy—I’ve been making it for 8 years and every year it gets rave reviews. I suggest you try it out; the turkey cooking recipe that goes with it produces a great bird too. The recipe is originally from Bon Appetit magazine, but the recipe is online here.

Funny thing: As I was writing this, I was interrupted by Jehovah’s Witnesses at the door. They don’t like to take no for an answer and now that I’ve answered the door they’ll be back. Oy.
