Why do the major Boston newspapers continue to devote ink to the ravings of a homicidal maniac? The Boston Herald reports that Joseph Druce, the guy who killed John Geoghan, has proposed new legislation to punish pedophiles. The article even goes into the details of Druce’s proposal. Why? Are we now going to start printing Charles Manson’s proposals for foreign policy? Or Scott Peterson’s suggestions on domestic violence? Are they going to reprint Ted Kaczynski’s manifesto?
The newspapers should not give credit or credence to Druce. He’s not an avenging angel against child molesters. He’s a cold-blooded, self-confessed murderer.
