The bishops and the National Review Board have come to an agreement. Details were not announced, but apparently there was some compromise on when to begin another round of audits. Basically, I would guess that the leadership of the USCCB caved, since Bishop Gregory is willing to do whatever it takes to appear conciliatory and to make the Scandal “history”.
Once again, I agree that oversight of bishops’ compliance with sex abuse policy norms is necessary, but I disagree that using pro-abortion Clintonites is the answer. After all, it’s people like this who have given us the scary indoctrination curriculum Talking about Touching, being used to continue to abuse our children.
