Pope John Paul canceled his regular Wednesday weekly audience because his was sick. I don’t think it’s anything too big to worry about, insofar as every sickness for an 83-year-old man is something to worry about. In any case, he is said to be suffering from “intestinal disposition.” (How embarrassing to have your every pain bandied about in public.)
He did greet the people waiting for him in the audience hall with a video linkup from Castelgandolfo. And the Vatican announced that it would not cause any other disruptions in his schedule.
