Focus on the positives

A lot of the media are focusing on the negative in the war (I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s true). But here are some positives. Before the war, everyone worried that all the oil wells would be torched causing chaos in the world markets, but only a couple were torched. Not a single Iraqi missile has been launched toward Israel or Jordan. We are in control of at least 1/3 of the country (more if you include Kurdish controlled territory). We have complete air dominance. Civilian casualties are very, very low.

The war is only 7 days old. There is a lot more to come. I find it ironic that on the one hand the media says we’re going too slow, but on the other will go crazy if we have more US casualties. Going at a measured pace prevents casualties. As the president says, the end of Saddam will happen, but not tomorrow.
