Do they know what they’re talking about?

The Boston Globe continues its exegesis of its poll of Boston-area Catholics today. In this installment, we learn that a majority of them want Cardinal Law indicted and that Voice of the Faithful is a great organization. As Margie trenchantly put it in a comment yesterday, only 35% of those polled actually attend Mass weekly. Should we be looking to people who don’t even attend Mass—the most basic, fundamental requirement for Catholics—for advice on how the Church should be ordered and re-ordered?
