First, congratulations to my roommate Paul Goyette and his girlfriend Rose George. They got engaged over the weekend. By the way, anybody want to rent a room to a Catholic journalist who’s also a gourmet cook? Seems I will need a new place to live sometime this summer.
On a more serious note, please keep my father, also named Domenico, in your prayers. He’s having surgery on Wednesday to have an automatic defibrillator installed in his chest. Dad’s had four heart attacks and a stroke, including a quadruple bypass 12 years ago, and while he’s in amazing health for a 71 year old, he’s still 71 years old and so it’s cause for some concern.
