Confirmed

According to this Catholic World News story (subscription required), the seven women who attempted ordination by a rogue “bishop” in Germany last year have been officially excommunicated. After the ceremony in June, the Vatican gave the women until sometime in July to repent. They didn’t and were formally excommunicated in August. They appealed. And now the Vatican has ruled on the appeal. They have split themselves from the communion of the Body of Christ by their actions. As always, repentance is always possible, and hope of reconciliation with the Church was held out to the women. I pray the Holy Spirit enlightens their hearts and minds and brings about a conversion.
