Some Colorado lawmakers are proposing a law that would elevate pets’ status from property to companions. First it was San Francisco with renaming pet owners to pet guardians and now this. What’s next? Marrying your pets? Don’t laugh. Who would have thought we’d have gay marriage and that’s right around the corner. And this pet companion thing; do you know anybody—usually a childless couple—who refers to their pets as their children?
It’s a warped world we live in. On the one hand, we have children in the womb treated like property, and on the other, animals in our yards are treated like people. It’s what happens when you ignore the natural law and nature’s God, you begin to create your own law which by necessity is a perversion of the truth.
