The Franciscan Friars and Sisters of the Renewal have an interesting petition online. They are starting a grassroots movement to ask Mel Gibson to make a movie about St. Francis, as a sort of sequel to The Passion, to show what happens when someone responds with their whole self to the Passion of Jesus Christ. They are taking signatures, if you are so inclined.
