Another story about the sale of the Boston archbishop’s residence. But this one has some interesting detail at the end.
Mitchell Garabedian, lawyer for some of the victims in the $85 million settlement, is worried he won’t get ... I mean, his clients won’t get their checks by the December 22 deadline.
Garabedian said he was leery of trusting church officials, since his clients were burned by an archdiocesan about-face after a settlement was announced last year. Nevertheless, he said, “I’ve been assured and reassured by the arbitrator and by the attorney for the church that the $85 million is in place.”
Don’t worry, Mitchell, you’ll get your one-third cut in time.
