Last week, the Boston Globe spiked a story by one of its columnist who was going to be critical of Howell Raines, the editor of the New York Times, which happens to be the parent company of the Globe. Well, the rival newspaper in town, the Boston Herald heard about it, spread the news, and the Globe ran the story on Saturday.
