What can the laity do?

What can the laity do?

A reader sends the following thought:

You and others have had a lot of posts about how many priests and bishops do not stand up for Truth and teach the flock that homosexual activity is sinful, that to engage in it will imperil one’s soul, etc.  I’m an avid reader when those posts pop up, since I’m as distressed as anyone else when Truth that needs to be taught is ignored, watered down, or outright contradicted by those entrusted with teaching it.

My thought is – Have you considered (or have you run in the past) a thread about what WE, the laity, can do (or have done) to encourage our priests and bishops to teach the Truth on topics such as homosexual behavior?  I know, this shouldn’t be necessary.  Priests and bishops shouldn’t need our encouragement to do what Christ has commanded them to do.  Nevertheless, common sense would tell me that, if we make doing the right thing easier for those who need to do it, we would get more of it.  There must be a number of things people have done to accomplish this, and I’d like to know what they are so that I can do them myself.  I have no clue where to start with this.

I have some ideas, but I wonder if any of you have anything to contribute in this vein. Add your thoughts in the comments.
