Wal-Mart is like George W. Bush: I find myself nodding in agreement…

I have to agree with Instapundit Glenn Reynolds on this one:

You know, to me Wal-Mart is a lot like George W. Bush. It’s not that I’m that big a fan in the abstract, really, it’s just that the viciousness and stupidity revealed in its enemies tends to make me view it more favorably than I otherwise would.

So very true.

  • I don’t need to view this President as an underdog to like him. I have liked, loved and supported George W. Bush from the beginning. As part of The Lepanto Rosary campaign in 2000 to get him elected, it did not escape my notice that the two most critical dates involved were Dec 8 (recount voted) and Dec 12 (Supreme Court decision). It would seem Our Lady cast her vote as well.

  • I generally support many of Bush’s policies and I think that any of his Democratic opponents would have been a disater, but I stop well short of saying that he has been anointed by the Blessed Mother as the leader of the Free World.

  • On the other hand, the Soviet Union broke up into the Commonwealth of Independent States on December 8, 1991, so I’m happy to credit that one to our Lady.
