Every time I think I’ve made the trivia question too hard, some one of you comes up with the answer. Very impressive.

The answer is “Estel” which means “hope”. Kit-Kat then challenged others to recall Gilraen’s original quote in Elvish, to which Louis E. responded: “Gilraen said ‘onen i-Estel Edain, u-chebin estel anim’,which is a ‘linnod’ that means ‘I gave Hope to the Dunedain,I have kept no hope for myself.’ Wow, you guys really are amazing.
Now for today’s question: Tolkien based Treebeard’s way of speaking, with its “hrum, hroom,” on what person alive at the time Tolkien wrote it? Answer tomorrow.
