Yesterday’s trivia question was: “Who was Ungoliant, and what did she eat and always hunger for?” The answer is “An evil Maiar shaped like a monstrous spider who hungered for Light.” It is also true that she ate many of the great gems of the Noldor fed to her by Melkor and desired to eat the Silmarils as well, but did not. She poisoned the great Trees and was the mother of the giant spiders of Mirkwood and of Shelob, who guarded the approaches to Mordor through Cirith Ungol.
Today’s question is: “Who did Elrond marry and what was the names of their children?” Answer tomorrow.
