To all AOL/Netscape email users

To all AOL/Netscape email users

You all should know that AOL/Netscape is blocking email from my bettnet.com address because I have been blacklisted as a spammer. Evidently when a spammer hijacks your address and spams people with it, AOL figures that it’s easier to ban the innocent victim than block the spammer. It’s another reason that nobody should be using AOL or Netscape for email.

To quote Gollum: “We hatesss them, we do.”

Switch to a more responsive and responsible ISP or, better yet, get your own domain name. It’s cheap and easy and you’ll never have to change email addresses again. I recommend GoDaddy.com. You can get an email address for just $10/year. Good deal!

  • It’s not your ISP address, Dom. AOL is blocking mail from many large ISPs, whether the address has been hijacked or not. The headaches it’s causing for list owners is amazing.

I said it in the 1990s, and I’m saying it again: AOL is a toy! wink
