That hysterical weeping you hear coming from Kansas City is Sr. Joan Chittister weeping at her desk at the National Catholic Reporter over Fr. Tom Reese leaving America magazine. Not willing to let the ridiculousness go unchallenged, Dale Price fisks her column which is a paradigm of loony liberalism. It is now evening and I’m still laughing over this passage to describe his attempts to “understand prominent progressives” in the Church ,“We’re not talking mere futility here—we’re talking metaphysical futility. This is the “one-legged-cat-trying-to-bury-turds-on-a-frozen-pond” kind of futility that makes you want to go to your happy place for a while.” I’ll be laughing over that one for days.
