The birth of a child changed the world

Linda Chavez summarizes the amazing idea of the birth of the Savior, the Incarnation of God. The birth of Christ was The moment in time. If all of history was drawn out on a timeline, the moment of the incarnation (which, let’s be honest, was the Feast of the Annunciation, not Christmas) would be the fulcrum, the pivot point of the “seesaw”. It sent ripples throughout history past, present, and future. All of time, the whole universe anticipated the moment and held its breath at its coming. I think we can become so used to the idea of the God-Man who came to die for us that perhaps we are in danger of forgetting the awesome meaning of that.
