So much for human dignity

So much for human dignity

Just wrong on so many levels. The London Zoo is offering a tongue-in-cheek Human exhibit. Although it’s not just a joke; it’s got a real agenda behind it that people like the nutcases at PETA would support.

“Seeing people in a different environment, among other animals ... teaches members of the public that the human is just another primate,” Wills said. It also, she conceded, lets them “have a gawk at people.”

... “A lot of people think humans are above other animals,” he said. “When they see humans as animals, here, it kind of reminds us that we’re not that special.”

We’re not that special, huh? Just another primate? That’s why we have a code of law, art, culture, monuments, and buildings. That’s why we’ve traveled to other planets or built robots to do it for us or imagined that we had done so. Never mind the spiritual reality that we’re created in the image and likeness of God.

If we’re just another animal and nothing special, then why should anyone worry if we go around killing each other like animals do? What if one of the male humans on display decided he wanted to start breeding with one of the females, willing or not, just like an animal? Should we shrug and say, “They’re just animals, what should we expect?”

It’s presented to us as something of joke, but a diet of this kind of materialist nonsense eventually seeps its way into society’s psyche and people begin to believe it. Someday won’t these people be surprised when people begin behaving like the animals they claim they are.

  • These statements are simply stunning:

“A lot of people think humans are above other animals,” [Chemist Tom Mahoney, one of the humans on display] said. “When they see humans as animals, here, it kind of reminds us that we’re not that special.”

Mr. Maloney heard about it via email. He is a chemist who, I would imagine, could describe the chemical makeup of the Speedos they’re wearing.

How many of those apes that he’s so interested in could do that? How many chimps are emailing their buddies about the crazy ‘white apes’ living next door?

    This is simply insane.
